A BOOK FAIR

A book fair is an amazing fair where different types of books are displayed for show-off and sale. A book fair is usually held in January and February throughout the country in different places. The biggest book fair “Ekushe Boi Mela” is held in February on the occasion of 21st February. It is organized by Bangla Academy on the Bangla Academy campus and Suhrawardy Uddan. Story books,novels, dramas,poems,autobiographycal,science and technology, books on raising social awareness,etc are usually available in a book fair. ​The purpose of a book fair is not mainly for selling books. A book fair helps to develop the publication of books, inspires new writers, and creates interest for books among general people. Books are also sold at a cheaper rate than the usual rate for inspiring people to buy more books. All types of visitors gather at a book fair. Writers, publishers, readers, book lovers, children and many other people come to visit and buy books at a book fair. Usually, the stalls get crowded in the evening. In a book fair, hundreds of stalls are arranged where all types of books are displayed. Academic books, storybooks, fiction books, children’s books, drama books etc. are displayed in different pavilion. The stalls are also decorated creatively and attractively that motivates the visitors. There are also refreshment sections in a book fair, such as seminars and cultural programmes are held. There are food and tea stalls around the premises. A book fair is an important arrangement for the betterment of education and spreading knowledge. It reminds us that books are our best friends, it increases our outlook. It also promotes the refined taste and national culture of a country. So, we should visit book fairs every year to buy books and enrich our frame of mind.

একটি বইমেলা একটি আশ্চর্যজনক মেলা যেখানে প্রদর্শন এবং বিক্রয়ের জন্য বিভিন্ন ধরনের বই প্রদর্শিত হয়। বইমেলা সাধারণত জানুয়ারি ও ফেব্রুয়ারি মাসে হয় সারা দেশে বিভিন্ন জায়গায়। 21শে ফেব্রুয়ারী উপলক্ষে সবচেয়ে বড় বইমেলা "একুশে বইমেলা" অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বাংলা একাডেমি ক্যাম্পাস ও সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যানে এর আয়োজন করে। গল্পের বই, উপন্যাস, নাটক, কবিতা, আত্মজীবনী, বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি, সামাজিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির বই ইত্যাদি সাধারণত পাওয়া যায়।একটি বই মেলায়। বইমেলার উদ্দেশ্য মূলত বই বিক্রি নয়। একটি বইমেলা বই প্রকাশের বিকাশে সাহায্য করে, নতুন লেখকদের অনুপ্রাণিত করে এবং সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে বইয়ের প্রতি আগ্রহ তৈরি করে। মানুষকে আরও বই কিনতে উদ্বুদ্ধ করার জন্য স্বাভাবিক হারের চেয়ে কম দামে বই বিক্রি করা হয়। বইমেলায় সব ধরনের দর্শনার্থীর সমাগম হয়। বইমেলায় লেখক, প্রকাশক, পাঠক, বইপ্রেমী, শিশুসহ অনেক মানুষ বেড়াতে আসেন এবং বই কিনতে আসেন। সাধারণত, সন্ধ্যায় স্টলে ভিড় হয়। বইমেলায় শতাধিক স্টল সাজানো হয় যেখানে সব ধরনের বই প্রদর্শিত হয়। একাডেমিক বই, গল্পের বই, কথাসাহিত্যের বই, শিশুদের বই, নাটকের বই ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন প্যাভিলিয়নে প্রদর্শিত হয়। স্টলগুলোও সৃজনশীল ও আকর্ষণীয়ভাবে সাজানো হয়েছে যা দর্শনার্থীদের অনুপ্রাণিত করে। এছাড়াও একটি বইমেলায় রিফ্রেশমেন্ট বিভাগ রয়েছে, যেমন সেমিনার এবং সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। চত্বরের চারপাশে খাবার ও চায়ের স্টল রয়েছে। শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়ন ও জ্ঞানের প্রসারের জন্য বইমেলা একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আয়োজন। এটি আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে বই আমাদের সেরা বন্ধু, এটি আমাদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি বাড়ায়। এটি একটি দেশের পরিমার্জিত স্বাদ এবং জাতীয় সংস্কৃতিকেও প্রচার করে। তাই, বই কেনার জন্য এবং আমাদের মননকে সমৃদ্ধ করার জন্য আমাদের প্রতি বছর বই মেলায় যাওয়া হয়।
